Swissport has renewed and extended several key airline partnerships in Asia.

They include expanding an existing contract with Air France, KLM and Air Calin for Tokyo Narita to include Tokyo Haneda and Seoul Incheon in South Korea.

The handler has also extended its long-term cargo partnerships in South Korea with Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific and FedEx Express.

Swissport will support two daily flights at Haneda airport, and manage cargo volumes of 25,000 tonnes per year at Incheon.

At Narita it supports a daily flight each for Air France and KLM and five services a week for Air Calin.

With the new business, the handler now supports Air France, KLM and Air Calin at 33 airports in 12 countries.

At Seoul Incheon, Swissport provides cargo and freighter ramp services to Lufthansa Cargo, passenger, ramp and cargo services for Cathay Pacific, and ramp freighter and cargo warehouse handling for FedEx Express Korea.

Swissport senior vice president Asia Toralf Sonntag commented: “Swissport Japan has been proudly handling Air France KLM for three years and we are delighted to expand our footprint to Haneda and Incheon.”

It has also extended its 15-year long partnerships with Lufthansa Cargo and Cathay Pacific in South Korea and its 10-year relationship with FedEx Express.

“Thanks to consistent and award-winning performance, and following a long and competitive tender process, Swissport Korea is proud to continue its partnerships with Lufthansa Group, Cathay Pacific and FedEx Express Korea,” Sonntag said.

“This is a great achievement for Swissport Korea and we are honoured to continue to provide our exceptional services and be a reliable partner to our valued customer airlines.”
