Crane Worldwide appoints VP for automotive and industrial

Freight forwarder Crane Worldwide Logistics has appointed Robert Gulyas to the position of global vice president, automotive and industrial.
Crane said it had made the appointment to reflect the changing nature of the sectors and as it targets growth in the industries.
Supply chain disruption and the electrification of automotive and industrial were two challenges identified by the forwarder.
“The Automotive supply chain has traditionally relied upon lean logistics techniques and has been a showcase for just-in-time methodology,” said Gulyas.
“There is no denying there are challenges ahead and transformation is underway; my goal at Crane Worldwide Logistics is to provide a global partnership approach to deliver added end-to-end value in global supply chains.”

Gulyas has more than 20 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry. In recent years he has specialised in the automotive and industrial sectors.
