Network Airline Services (NAS) has renewed its GSA contract with RwandAir in Germany and France, extending the partnership between the two companies for another two years.
During the pandemic, RwandAir has operated flights, with its Airbus A330 aircraft, to and from Europe, with support from Network Airline Services' offices in Paris and Frankfurt.
Patricia Heilbrink, managing director at NAS Europe, commented: “We are so pleased to be continuing our ongoing relationship with RwandAir to not only keep vital air cargo flowing during the Covid-19 pandemic, but also beyond into more ‘normal times.’”
Earlier this year, Network Airline Management transported more than 1,000 tonnes of freshly cut flowers in the run up to Valentine’s Day from Nairobi, Kenya into the UK and Europe.
The firm’s office in Nairobi oversaw operations and each flight was loaded with more than 100 tons of Valentine’s Day flowers, including Roses and Carnations.
The aircraft flew into Liege with flowers bound for the UK and other European destinations transported via onward trucking.
Andy Walters, commercial director of Network Airline Management, said: “This has been another very successful season for us and we are proud to support Kenya’s fresh flower industry once again this year.”
